Position Overview

As an integral member of the operations team, the Buyer/Planner is essential in managing material procurement and scheduling production orders to fulfill customer demands efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and source the necessary materials and services to meet organizational needs, collaborating with vendors to obtain quotes, negotiate pricing, and coordinate the purchase and delivery of goods.
  • Plan and schedule the inflow of materials to facilitate timely kitting for production work orders, ensuring a balance between raw materials and finished goods for on-time shipments.
  • Engage with internal teams to clarify customer requirements and ensure all essential materials and services are available for production builds.
  • Maintain accurate records of quotes and standard cost data for all procured materials and services.
  • Oversee supplier performance, providing monthly reports on quality effectiveness and on-time delivery metrics.
  • Manage the hazardous waste cabinet and maintain appropriate logs.
Qualifications:
  • We seek a detail-oriented, motivated individual with a positive demeanor, reliability, quick learning ability, and exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • An Associate's degree in Business Administration or a related field is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • 5-10 years of experience in a relevant technology manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel is essential.
  • Experience with ERP systems is advantageous.
