Our robots are designed to be tools that can be easily integrated into complex manufacturing processes, without requiring in-depth understanding of intelligent robotics or complex process dynamics. We are looking for an IT Manager to lead our internal information technology efforts across our organization and help us continue to push the boundaries of what people and robots can do.

 

We are seeking an IT Manager to oversee and manage our IT infrastructure and operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Linux and Ubuntu, and the Microsoft Windows ecosystem, a solid understanding of networking, and the ability to effectively collaborate with our Managed Service Provider (MSP). As the IT Manager, you will ensure the seamless operation of our IT systems, support our development teams, and contribute to the strategic planning of our technology initiatives, and not be afraid to get hands on.

 

Responsibilities:

· Manage and maintain Linux/Ubuntu-based servers and systems, and Microsoft Windows server, Windows-based desktops, Microsoft 365.

· Collaborate with our MSP (vCIO, vCISO, IT Support) to ensure timely and effective IT support and services. Monitor service delivery of the MSP to ensure quality, time and performance metrics are met.

· Develop and implement IT policies and procedures to ensure security and efficiency.

· In collaboration with our MSP, oversee network infrastructure (Cisco, Meraki), including configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance.

· Monitor on-premises and cloud-based system performance, identify issues, and implement solutions to optimize operations.

· Support the IT needs of our development and engineering teams, (DevOPs, Software Installation, Configuration management, IoT device configuration)

· Plan and execute IT projects, ensuring alignment with company goals and timelines.

· Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to keep our IT infrastructure up-to-date.

· Manage IT financial, technical and people resources effectively to achieve company objectives.

 

Qualifications:

 

Required:

  • Proven experience (7+ years) as an IT Manager or similar role, preferably in a robotics or technology-focused company.

· Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and tools.

· Strong expertise in Windows and Linux, particularly Ubuntu, operating systems.

· Familiarity with networking principles and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, WANS/LANS, ).

  • Experience with network troubleshooting and diagnostic tools.

· Familiarity with cloud services and virtualization technologies.

· Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

· Strong organizational and project management skills.

· Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

· Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

 

Desirable:

· Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent practical experience.

· Experience working with MSPs and coordinating external IT support.

  • Experience with computing systems operating in an industrial environment
  • Experience with creating and deploying Debian software packages
  • Experience with netboot, NFS, and MySQL administration
  • Familiar with the Defense Information System Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
