Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient-Centered Psychiatrist to join our team at Geisinger Health System. As a member of our Behavioral Health Center, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional care to patients with complex psychiatric needs.

Job Duties
  • Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and treatment plans for patients with a range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, trauma, and psychosis.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Conduct individual and group therapy sessions, as well as medication management and other interventions as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in psychiatry, and incorporate this knowledge into your practice.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote excellent patient care.
Requirements
  • Doctoral degree in medicine (M.D.) or osteopathic medicine (D.O.) from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification in psychiatry from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN).
  • Current licensure to practice medicine in the state of Pennsylvania.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
