Job Title: Customer Support Specialist Pet

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Customer Support Specialist to join our team at our Quincy, IL location. This is a Monday through Friday in-office role, 7 AM to 4 PM.

Job Summary:

The Customer Support Specialist will be responsible for coordinating efforts with sales, production, trucking, warehouse, inventory management, formulations, and quality assurance to meet customer needs and expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service, including order taking, order entry and processing, handling initial customer complaints, and resolving product returns, credit, and debit memos.
  • Communicate product and pricing information as requested and detail products as required.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and generate reports for customer history and product sales information.
  • Communicate market trends and supply issues to the sales team.
  • Investigate and resolve shipping, pricing, and order entry errors.
  • Facilitate the Formulations department in communicating changes to existing formulas and setting up new formulas for new/existing customers.
  • Work closely with production facilities to coordinate production, logistics, availability, and communicate as necessary to customer, sales, etc.
  • Monitor customer orders to help predict market trends and communicate information to purchasing, pricing, and sales.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required.
  • One or more years of experience in Customer Service and/or Sales Support.
  • Superior verbal and written communications, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritized work load.
  • Strong computer skills, preferably with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Extensive keyboard and telephone use, sitting for extended periods of time.
