Facilities Maintenance Technician

Key Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of maintenance tasks including troubleshooting and repairing equipment.
- Keep detailed logs of equipment performance and maintenance activities.
- Demonstrate proficiency in operating fire safety panels.
- Identify and recommend necessary parts for procurement, and manage orders for parts and services as required.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests via radio, phone, or in-person communication.
- Exhibit experience in plumbing, carpentry, masonry, electrical work, painting, and the upkeep of heating and air conditioning systems.
- Possess hands-on training in equipment maintenance.
- Ensure a safe working environment is maintained at all times.
- Operate forklifts and motor vehicles as needed.
- Utilize computers to access and update work orders, and manage relevant communications.
- Demonstrate self-motivation and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Familiarity with company policies and a willingness to learn new procedures.
- Maintain eligibility for a gaming license if required.
- May involve operating company vehicles or equipment that necessitates a valid driver's license.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements
The physical demands for this role include the ability to sit or stand for extended periods, walk, and use hands for various tasks. Employees may need to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crawl, and must be able to communicate effectively. The role may involve working outdoors in various weather conditions and exposure to humidity, fumes, and other environmental factors. Employees should be capable of lifting up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds frequently, with noise levels varying from moderate to loud.
Education and Experience
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred; experience ranging from one to four years is advantageous.
- Ability to safely operate mechanical tools and inspection equipment.
- Competence in reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches, and specifications.
- Capability to work at various heights using ladders and scaffolding safely.
- Proven ability to lift 50 pounds regularly and operate lifting equipment for heavier loads.
