About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Breathing Specialist to join our team at Millennium Physician Group. This part-time position will be based in Port Charlotte and will involve assisting in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with breathing disorders.

Responsibilities:
  • Interview and examine patients with breathing disorders.
  • Consult with physicians to develop patient treatment plans.
  • Treat patients using various methods, including chest physiotherapy and aerosol medications.
  • Analyze sputum, blood, and breath specimens to determine oxygen and carbon dioxide levels.
  • Measure lung capacity to assess impaired function.
  • Monitor and record patient progress.
  • Teach patients how to use equipment, such as ventilators.
  • Provide excellent patient care.
Requirements:

This role requires an associate's degree and a credential of either CRT or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT). In addition, it requires 1-year Respiratory Therapy Technical program experience. We also require 1-2 years' experience in ICU/CCU ventilator management and certification in CPR. Ongoing education is essential, with 16 CEUs required every 2 years.

Compensation:

The estimated annual salary for this position is around $73,000-$90,000 depending on experience. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including 3 weeks of PTO, 7 paid holidays, medical, dental, and vision insurance, employer-paid basic life and short-term disability coverage, and a 401(k) plan with match.
