We are in search of a seasoned hardware engineer to assist in the creation of tailored circuit technologies for software-defined radio systems, aimed at comprehensive communication solutions.
As a vital member of our team, you will contribute to the development of pioneering digital and RF circuits, supporting the special operations and intelligence sectors in tackling complex national security challenges. Your work will enable strategic planning and decision-making across various domains, including active threat deterrence, signal intelligence, cyber operations, machine learning, image processing, and applied data analytics.
Our projects encompass a wide range of systems, from extensive RF processing capabilities to compact, low-power solutions tailored for specific applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of portable communication devices and miniature wireless systems, integrating RF and high-speed digital components, commercially available chipsets, and embedded processors.
- Conduct evaluations and testing of prototypes and deliverable devices through laboratory and field assessments, debugging, and troubleshooting, often under tight deadlines.
- Collaborate with sponsors to understand and address their most pressing challenges, guiding a multidisciplinary team to devise innovative solutions.
- Initiate and participate in design reviews, system integration, and comprehensive documentation.
Qualifications:
You will meet our minimum qualifications if you possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in computer or electrical engineering or a related discipline.
- Over 10 years of experience in hardware design and development, specifically with RF, analog, and high-speed digital circuit design, successfully bringing designs from concept to testing and delivery.
- A solid understanding of low-level RF system design and the application of custom circuitry to enhance system performance.
- Proven experience in leading engineering teams.
- The ability to obtain an Interim Secret level security clearance by your start date, with the potential to achieve a Final Secret level clearance.
If selected, you will undergo a government security clearance investigation and must fulfill the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility criteria include U.S. citizenship.
