Our organization is seeking a highly proficient Lead Information Security Engineer to oversee a team of security specialists tasked with designing and implementing secure information systems, as well as managing activities related to maintaining systems' Authority to Operate (ATO).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer IT systems within a Windows and Redhat Linux operating system framework.
  • Set up and maintain network printers, Cisco network switches, and Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS) in alignment with DoD STIGs.
  • Comprehend data RAID, data backup methodologies, and technologies. Install and configure software applications as requested by end users.
  • Collaborate with Cybersecurity experts to uphold security compliance standards. Provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes and procedures, along with other assigned tasks.
  • Support the Government Information System Security Manager (ISSM) with Risk Management Framework (RMF) Accreditation efforts.
  • Conduct and address vulnerabilities identified in scans for all accredited devices.
  • Install and evaluate system updates as necessary.
  • Deliver daily operations and systems support to personnel.

Essential Skills:

  • US citizenship is mandatory for this role.
  • Certification for DoD IAM 8570 compliance, Comptia Security + CE.
  • Practical experience with Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP), Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), DISA STIGs, and other DoD sanctioned vulnerability scanning tools.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience remediating SCAP and ACAS scan findings.
  • Minimum 2 years of RMF process and implementation experience.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience managing McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience configuring, troubleshooting, and managing both Linux and Microsoft operating systems.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience administering and managing Windows Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, and DNS.
  • Practical experience with Cisco IOS for switch/router/IPS configurations.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V and VMware.
