Position Details

We are currently seeking a qualified Travel RN specializing in Medical-Surgical nursing.

Compensation: $2,301 weekly

Contract Duration: 13 Weeks | 36 Hours | Night Shift 7 PM - 7:15 AM

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments.
  • Gather current symptoms and detailed patient histories, collaborating with healthcare team members to develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
  • Perform triage, considering both physical and psychosocial factors.
  • Stabilize patients and manage basic life support until the attending physician arrives, adhering to nursing standards and protocols.
  • Initiate corrective actions based on monitoring equipment feedback indicating adverse symptoms.
  • Document patients' vital signs accurately.
  • Assist physicians during examinations, diagnostic tests, and treatments.
  • Prepare and administer medications (orally, subcutaneously, or intravenously) and maintain accurate records.
  • Report any adverse reactions to medications or treatments in accordance with established policies.
  • Provide IV therapy and basic bedside care.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of medical supplies and equipment for patient care.
  • Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team.
  • Implement patient education plans as directed by physicians.
  • Educate patients and their families on managing illnesses/injuries, including post-treatment care, nutrition, exercise, medication self-administration, and rehabilitation.
  • Exhibit professionalism while managing multiple urgent tasks efficiently.
  • Record all care information accurately and promptly in the appropriate formats.
Submission Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience - Required
  • Experience in Med/Surg Observation - Required
  • General Med/Surg experience (Oncology, Observation, Hospice, Medical & Surgical Patients)
  • Recent travel nursing experience - highly preferred

  • Skills Checklist, current within the last year, relevant to the specialty
  • Two Supervisory Reference Forms, completed within the last two years
  • Licensure & Certifications (State License & BLS - AHA)
  • Candidates' Permanent Address (local candidates within a 50-mile radius will not be considered)
