About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Retail Department Manager to join our team at HomeSense. As a key member of our store operations team, you will be responsible for executing receiving and merchandising standards while ensuring our Associates are processing efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Experience: Create a positive internal and external customer experience by engaging and interacting with all customers, and maintaining a clean and organized store.
  • Merchandising and Inventory: Ensure merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded, and that inventory levels are accurately maintained.
  • Team Management: Train and mentor Associates on established merchandising and processing principles, and ensure they complete tasks and activities according to store plan.
  • Operations: Organize and rotate back stock for easy replenishment, and maintain all organizational, cleanliness and recovery standards for the backroom area.
  • Communication: Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates when setting and addressing priorities, and provide progress updates.
Requirements
  • Experience: 1 year retail and 6 months of leadership experience.
  • Skills: Superior communication and organizational skills with attention to detail, capable of multi-tasking, and able to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
  • Physical Demands: Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation.
