Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced software engineer to join our dynamic team of experts who leverage the latest technologies to make a real impact for our government and commercial partners.

Responsibilities

A highly skilled software professional at Mile Two typically has 5 or more years of professional experience and can reliably develop and deliver software development tasks.

They are comfortable working as a member of a project team and are interested in learning, implementing, and communicating using design patterns and best practices.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field of study
  • 5-7 years of software engineer experience
  • Experience with Python and Django; multiprocessing / multithreading
  • Experience collaborating using version control systems
  • Can work on small or large teams and comfortable working independently when necessary
  • Familiarity with Docker environments
  • Can take functionality and push features in a timely manner with some oversight from a senior developer
  • Experience working with DoD or other government agency customers
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience working with Air Force Research Laboratory projects and familiar with DoD software development processes
  • Experience with DoD Information Technology processes
  • Experience with Golang and React
  • Ability to hold or obtain an active government security clearance
  • Experience deploying in Hybrid Cloud Environments, Azure, AWS, and Google experience helpful
  • Work with existing code structure and methodologies.
Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this position is $120,000 - $160,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
