Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Municipal Project Manager to join our team at Shield Engineering Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for the successful completion of engineering projects, including the preparation, planning, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating of all technical activities on assigned projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and manage project proposals, including budgeting and scheduling.
  • Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate assigned engineering work, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, accepted engineering practices, and standards.
  • Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate and communicate with project stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and internal teams.
  • Manage and resolve conflicts, complaints, and grievances related to projects.
  • Ensure effective communication and coordination between all disciplines and project consultants.
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve long-range objectives.
  • Oversee the preparation of site plans, grading plans, drainage plans, and other plan sheets.
  • Obtain necessary permits and approvals.
  • Train and teach others by identifying educational needs and communicating training needs to management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university.
  • 4+ years' experience as a Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Texas.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated and deadline-sensitive with a can-do attitude.
  • Proficient with AutoCAD Civil3D and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Advanced knowledge of project schedules and budgets.
  • Responsible charge of signing and sealing projects.
