Senior Electronics Engineer

FlexStaff is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electronics Engineer to join our team in Deer Park, NY. As a key member of our client's optics technology team, you will be responsible for developing innovative systems, architectures, and processes for active optics products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical leadership in the development of analogue, digital, optoelectronic, and power supply circuits.
  • Perform circuit level and system level simulations and analysis to minimize design risk and prove theoretical system performance.
  • Conduct board level and system level testing, debugging, and optimization.
  • Document and conduct thorough peer reviews, block diagrams, specifications, and requirements.
Requirements:
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in electronics/electrical engineering or equivalent.
  • Strong analog and digital design skills, including optoelectronics, thermal, EMC, and safety considerations.
  • Knowledge of embedded C and ARM cortex, as well as FPGA/VHDL development.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience taking ownership of complex projects and producing successful outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 10 years of experience in electronics and systems design, schematic capture, and PCB design.
  • Working in complex multi-disciplinary projects including optics, optoelectronics, and sensors.
  • Proficiency in Altium.
