Pharmacy Technician Job Description

As a Pharmacy Technician at Rite Aid of Pennsylvania Inc., you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacies. Your primary responsibility will be to assist licensed pharmacists in dispensing medications, processing prescriptions, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Enter prescription information into the computer system, including patient searches, prescriber searches, and insurance billing.
  • Retrieve medication from inventory and prepare prescription labels.
  • Assist with maintaining the pharmacy department, including cleaning and organizing the area.
  • Participate in inventory management processes, including order review and restocking shelves.
  • Administer Rite Aid programs, such as FlavoRx and Living More.
Work Environment:

As a Pharmacy Technician, you will work in a fast-paced environment, interacting with customers and patients on a daily basis. You will be required to work weekdays, weekends, evening shifts, and some holidays. Our team-oriented approach ensures that we work together to accommodate each other's schedules.

Qualifications:
  • H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
