Job Description

**Job Summary**

Ace Hardware is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Shift Leader to join our team. As a Shift Leader, you will play a critical role in promoting sales while ensuring that all customers receive high levels of customer service consistent with our Ace helpful brand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Train and monitor the progress of sales associates and cashiers in establishing and achieving set retail objectives based upon company standards and policies.
  • Provide a positive representation of our Ace Hardware stores by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Assist customers throughout the store with personalized service, ensuring that every customer has an amazing experience.
  • Assist with receiving, checking in, and stocking merchandise throughout the store, maintaining back stock levels, and ensuring a clean and orderly sales floor.
  • Operate a forklift with proper training and communicate any Store Support Center issues to the General Manager for follow-up.
  • Participate in store meetings and be professional in appearance and actions, being prepared to work at the scheduled start time.

Requirements

  • Strong background in customer service and leadership.
  • Hardware background is helpful but not required, as we will train the right candidates.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and follow-through skills.
