Job Summary:
This part-time position is a split between RA1SE and SMART, two programs focused on providing mental health services to individuals in need. RA1SE serves those experiencing their first episode of psychosis, while SMART offers a community corrections-based substance abuse treatment and offender rehabilitation program. The position is located in various locations throughout the agency, including Austin.

Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of a licensed physician, the Advanced Practice Nurse will provide medical services within the scope of their license, training, credentialing, and current standards of care. This includes determining and documenting evidence of psychopathology, assessing client needs, and discussing findings and recommendations with clients. The nurse will also decide whether initiation of treatment is urgent, verify written consent for medication, and document interactions during sessions and progress of therapy.

Requirements:
A Master's degree in Nursing is required, as well as licensure as an Advanced Practice Nurse-Psychiatric Mental Health or Physician Assistant in Texas. A DEA license, current and valid Driver's License, and a clean driving record are also necessary. Preferred qualifications include one year of clinical experience in mental illness, substance abuse, and/or emotional problems, as well as bilingualism.
