Position Overview

Omnis Health Life is seeking a dedicated and empathetic Mental Health Counselor specializing in substance use and addiction recovery. In this vital role, you will be instrumental in guiding our clients towards recovery by developing personalized treatment plans and identifying behaviors that may hinder their progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all facets of client cases from initial intake to discharge.
  • Assess and provide counseling for both physical and mental health challenges.
  • Engage in bi-weekly meetings with a clinical supervisor, either remotely or in person.
  • Participate in weekly training sessions conducted online.
  • Create tailored treatment and recovery strategies.
  • Lead individual, family, and group therapy sessions.
  • Continuously monitor clients to evaluate their treatment advancements.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, physicians, nurses, and social workers as necessary.
  • Recognize and address behaviors that obstruct treatment and recovery.
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation in the electronic medical records system as per training.
  • Comply with all relevant regulations and company policies regarding service delivery and documentation.
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe environment by participating in training and emergency drills.
  • Uphold confidentiality regarding client treatment records.
  • Engage in audits and surveys as directed by supervisors.
  • Participate in quality assurance initiatives to enhance service delivery.
  • Ensure to provide at least one billable service per hour during scheduled workdays, along with other assigned duties.

Travel Requirements: Occasional travel (15%) for client-related events and activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in counseling, social work, human services, psychology, or a related field is preferred.
  • Licenses such as LGPC, LCPC, LCADC, CAC-AD, CSC-AD, ADT, LGADC in Maryland are required.
  • Experience in treating clients with substance abuse and mental health issues.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems is essential.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal abilities and a compassionate demeanor.
