Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at the Defense Health Agency. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Obtain patient information and vital signs, and document in the health record.
  • Perform behavioral health screenings and provide individualized nursing care to patients of all ages.
  • Assist physicians with examinations and diagnostic procedures, and set up and maintain a sterile field.
  • Administer medications, oxygen, and IV fluids, and perform inhalation treatments and phlebotomy.
  • Provide patient education on self-care procedures, and document teaching and patient response.
  • Coordinate follow-up care and communicate relevant information to the healthcare team.
  • Review laboratory results and bring abnormal results to the attention of the physician.
  • Perform administrative and logistical tasks, including maintaining accurate records and supplies.
Requirements
  • A current license to practice as a practical or vocational nurse in a State, territory of the United States, or the District of Columbia.
  • At least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job.
