Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Medical Therapy Associate to join our team at Resilient Healthcare. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will play a vital role in the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement personalized exercise programs for patients undergoing physical therapy, ensuring a safe and effective treatment experience.
  • Provide education and guidance to patients and their families on maintaining a healthy lifestyle, managing chronic conditions, and preventing future injuries.
  • Collaborate with physical therapists to establish and achieve patient goals, monitor progress, and make adjustments as needed.
  • Assist with equipment preparation and maintenance, adhering to strict sterilization and safety protocols to ensure a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Review patient files prior to appointments to stay informed about each individual's unique needs and challenges.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in a timely manner, ensuring seamless communication among healthcare professionals.
  • Pursue ongoing education and training to enhance your skills and stay current with industry developments.

Requirements:

  • A valid Physical Therapy Assistant license in the state of Texas.
  • Proficiency in relevant computer software used for documentation and report generation.
  • An Associate degree in Physical Therapy or a related field is required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and adherence to HIPAA legislation and other patient privacy laws.
  • Experience working with sensitive patient information and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting common software and hardware issues related to speech pathology tools.
  • Physical stamina to work primarily in a standing position and lift up to 50 pounds safely.
  • A friendly and professional demeanor when interacting with patients, family members, or colleagues.
  • Attention to detail and accountability when handling important medical information.
