JBS USA Holdings, Inc. is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic/Electrician to join our production floor team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and machinery.
Responsibilities- Perform skilled maintenance activities, including construction, welding, brazing, soldering, plumbing, and hydraulics.
- Monitor production areas to ensure proper functioning of equipment and machinery.
- Complete assigned work orders and adhere to safety procedures, including Lock Out Tag Out, Power Industrial Truck, Scissor Lift, Harness/Fall Protection, etc.
- Adjust, repair, and replace electrical and electronic equipment.
- Promote and encourage safety in all aspects of maintenance.
- Complete required paperwork and maintain department budget within specified guidelines.
- Conduct preoperative inspections and handle maintenance concerns of Production Supervisors to ensure operation begins as scheduled.
- Technical schooling with mechanical or electrical emphasis is helpful.
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Considerable knowledge of the methods, materials, tools, and practices used in the building, mechanical, and electrical trades.
- Previous mechanical and related experience is required.
- Considerable knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
Production and maintenance settings with exposure to various chemicals, machinery, and knives. Slippery floors, cold temperatures, and loud ambient noise. Ability to work 50+ hours with good attendance and safety records.
