KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work under the guidance of the Department Group Leader to interpret blueprints and work orders, ensuring a clear understanding of product specifications including dimensions, tolerances, and tooling instructions.
- Set up and operate machinery designed for grinding, smoothing, and buffing metal components to achieve the desired finish.
- Utilize hand and power tools to eliminate burrs and sharp edges effectively.
- Conduct visual inspections, manage inventory, and prepare parts for packaging.
- Employ precision measuring instruments to verify part specifications.
- Document job data accurately throughout the finishing processes.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while contributing to a quality-focused team dedicated to meeting customer expectations.
- Strong accountability for achieving project outcomes and commitments.
- Ability to maintain performance levels and motivation in routine and repetitive tasks.
- Proficient in following oral and written instructions.
- Capable of working effectively under pressure and meeting deadlines with flexibility.
- Thorough knowledge of the operational aspects of specific machinery.
- Skilled in safely and efficiently operating assigned equipment.
- Competent in tracking time and materials used during the finishing process.
- Familiarity with precision measuring tools, reading technical drawings, and understanding common machine tools.
- Basic mathematical skills for calculations involving whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

Compensation for this role is set at $25.00 per hour, with actual pay determined by experience and applicable factors.
