Key Responsibilities:
- Work the night shift, spending 7 consecutive nights in the backcountry, with 13-hour shifts each night.
- Supervise and ensure the safety of students.
- Document student supervision accurately.
- Assist students with their educational tasks.
- Share knowledge and appreciation of nature and the outdoors.
- Lead students in experiential activities.
- Facilitate group discussions.
- Create a safe space for students to express their emotions.
- Manage and de-escalate crises within the group.
- Provide support and guidance to colleagues during shifts.
- Address challenges creatively and collaboratively.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
Qualifications:
Applicants who do not meet the minimum qualifications at the time of application will not be considered.
Essential Skills:
- High School diploma or equivalent; a college degree is preferred.
- Must obtain First Aid & CPR certification within the first month of employment; Wilderness First Responder (WFR) certification is preferred.
- Must be at least 19 years old, per state regulations.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment health assessment.
- Eligibility to work in the USA.
