Key Responsibilities:

  • Work the night shift, spending 7 consecutive nights in the backcountry, with 13-hour shifts each night.
  • Supervise and ensure the safety of students.
  • Document student supervision accurately.
  • Assist students with their educational tasks.
  • Share knowledge and appreciation of nature and the outdoors.
  • Lead students in experiential activities.
  • Facilitate group discussions.
  • Create a safe space for students to express their emotions.
  • Manage and de-escalate crises within the group.
  • Provide support and guidance to colleagues during shifts.
  • Address challenges creatively and collaboratively.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Comply with local, state, and federal regulations.

Qualifications:

Applicants who do not meet the minimum qualifications at the time of application will not be considered.

Essential Skills:

  • High School diploma or equivalent; a college degree is preferred.
  • Must obtain First Aid & CPR certification within the first month of employment; Wilderness First Responder (WFR) certification is preferred.
  • Must be at least 19 years old, per state regulations.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment health assessment.
  • Eligibility to work in the USA.
