Job Summary

INDUS Technology, Inc. is seeking an experienced Engineering Technician VI to provide industrial operations support for the NUWCDIVKPT contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling and disassembling, repairing, cleaning, and providing engineering and preventative maintenance to vehicle shells, buoys, and components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Independently plan and accomplish complete projects or studies of broad scope and complexity, or serve as an expert in a narrow aspect of a particular field of engineering.
  • May supervise or train and be assisted by more junior technicians.
  • Be ready to cross-train across any engineering technician area in the ISS Contract, including but not limited to Torpedo Depot and Torpedo Intermediate Maintenance Activity (IMA) for 3-6 month rotations.
  • Hazard Duty: Some roles may require employee be occupationally exposed to hazardous substances such as Otto Fuel II, lead, chromium, or cadmium. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and training will be provided.
  • Cleaning Roles: Some roles may have extended use of PPE and be considered 'dirty' jobs, i.e., requiring extensive cleaning of parts.
  • Bid and proposal support if requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • An active secret clearance is required to be considered for this position.
  • At least ten (10) years of experience providing industrial operations support.
  • Must be licensed and certified to operate 6,000 pound electric and diesel forklift and CAT III overhead crane.
  • Must possess ability and experience to operate pallet jack and Big Joe stand-behind pallet lift mechanism.
  • Some manual lifting up to 75 pounds may be required with this position.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
