Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Consultant or Environmental Engineering Project Manager to join our team at FirstCarbon Solutions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, performing, and overseeing the engineering, design, and construction of remedial systems, as well as providing general design services.
Key Responsibilities:- Preparation of project documents in accordance with client requirements and company guidelines and procedures.
- Primary contact and interface with clients and regulators.
- Provide technical oversight on project-specific engineering requirements.
- Designs and oversees engineering projects.
- Management of remediation system operation and maintenance projects.
- Manages assigned projects, including budget tracking, invoice approval, and team management.
- Provides high-level consulting and support on assigned projects.
- Participate in the proposal and budget creation process.
- Supervises the Level I and II staff remotely or occasionally on-site.
- Professional Engineering Registration (PE) or EIT preferred not required.
- 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPR.
- Valid Driver's License.
- 2+ years of experience in Project Management.
- 5-10 years of professional consulting experience in Site Assessment, Characterization, and Remediation.
- Experience and understanding of groundwater extraction and treatment systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication.
- Ability to mentor junior staff.
The position operates in both a professional office setting and outdoor settings relating to engineering fieldwork. Staff should be equally comfortable in both environments. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, walk, stoop, and lift. The employee may spend extended periods sitting in front of a computer or laptop. The employee is required to have finger dexterity. Specific vision abilities this job requires include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
