Job Summary

Maine Veterans' Homes is committed to providing exceptional care to its residents, and we are seeking a skilled Per Diem Speech Therapist to join our team. This role requires a licensed Speech Therapist with experience in long-term care environments.

We offer competitive salaries based on qualifications and experience. Our estimated salary for this position is $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on the candidate's background.

About the Role

The successful candidate will evaluate and treat residents, communicate effectively with families, physicians, and healthcare professionals, maintain accurate documentation, and provide ongoing training and education to facility staff.

  • Evaluates and treats residents with communication disorders
  • Communicates with residents, families, physicians, and other healthcare team members
  • Maintains accurate documentation of services in electronic medical records
  • Provides ongoing training and education to facility staff

This is a per diem position, offering flexibility and autonomy for the right candidate.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Hold a Master's degree in Speech Therapy from an accredited program
  • Be licensed as a Speech Therapist in the State of Maine
  • Have experience working in long-term care environments, preferably in a similar role
