Job Summary

The Mohegan Tribe of Indians of Connecticut is seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Health Therapist to join our team. As a Behavioral Health Therapist, you will be responsible for providing individual, family, couples, and group therapy to patients with a wide range of mental health disorders or co-occurring disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial diagnostic intakes and assessments to identify patient needs and develop culturally appropriate treatment plans.
  • Provide evidence-based mental health and substance misuse assessments, treatments, and interventions.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Conduct individual, couples, family, and group therapy sessions to address patient needs.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records.
Requirements
  • Master's or doctoral degree in a related field (e.g., psychology, social work, counseling).
  • Minimum of two years' experience in the mental health field, working with a wide variety of populations.
  • Experience with evidence-based treatment modalities, services, and best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle stressful and volatile situations.
