We are seeking an experienced ASME Project Lead to join our team. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for managing ASME projects from quoting to delivery, ensuring timely completion, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  1. Main point of contact for assigned customers, developing and maintaining close working relationships with their engineering, purchasing, and other key team members.

  2. Provide technical support for customers, becoming experts on their business to ensure trust and value ACE for guidance and assistance when fabricating to their specifications.

  3. Address customer questions and inquiries in a timely manner, reviewing orders and verifying that ACE can meet the terms of the purchase order. If not, negotiate acceptable terms to fulfill requirements.

  4. Collaborate with the Sales Team and appropriate ACE Team members to resolve customer service issues that need to be addressed.

  5. Estimate costs, provide quotes and proposals on-time to customer requirements, collaborating with purchasing and suppliers to get the best pricing and delivery while ensuring high quality.

  6. Prepare labor and material studies to accurately determine internal costs, collaborating with Sales & Marketing to determine margin goals and closing strategies to win business.

  7. Understand all aspects of part or project requirements and specifications, collaborating with customers on tolerance, manufacturability, and advising on any changes required to meet specifications.

  8. Collaborate with the Value Stream team members to find the best process and procedures to fabricate parts, utilizing M1 ERP system, customer prints, visual work instructions, and other communication tools to route and communicate project requirements.

  9. Communicate customer requirements and expectations to suppliers and Value Stream team members, planning jobs with all information required to fabricate to specification, ensuring quality of fabricated parts is met.

  10. Coordinate with the Purchasing Team and Value Steam Leaders on material, machining, and outside services required for projects or parts, balancing customer demand with ACE's capacity at the time of order.

  11. Utilize the Project Management Process system for opportunities that fit criteria, completing PMP Estimation meetings to ensure quoted manufacturing plans meet customer specifications, ACE capabilities, and minimize risk to ACE.

  12. Complete PMP Job Planning Meetings to ensure manufacturing plans are structured in M1 for workflow, add milestone markers (M1 alerts), meet tolerance and process capabilities, ensure VSLs and Purchasing Team have a clear understanding of safety, customer requirements, and project schedule.

  13. Complete Debrief Meetings to review project objectives against plan, share what is learned with other PEs, take ownership of actions to ensure next run is successful, and record profitability metrics on tracking log.

  14. Work closely with Value Streams to provide guidance and technical assistance during fabrication, follow-up to minimize waste and keep projects flowing, and ensure projects are going as planned, making adjustments as required to streamline process, improve gross margin, and quality.

  15. Collaborate with VSLs, QC, and shopfloor on changes to procedure to ensure it improves standard process, document standard process as required, and work directly with fabricators on shop floor to ensure quality and efficiency of final product.

  16. Resolve questions and problems including Kickbacks and Customer Returns as they arise to keep project on-track and in tolerance, reviewing Kickbacks and Customer Returns as they occur for Process Improvements, Preventative Action, use of GD&T, and Critical Dimension.

Required Skills and Qualifications

* 3+ years of experience in ASME project management*

* Strong knowledge of ASME processes and codes*

* Ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate with customers*

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits including health insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
