Apex Systems is seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Laboratory Technician to join our team in Philadelphia, PA. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring product safety and integrity through internal chemical, physical, and statistical analysis of goods supplied to customers.

The Quality Assurance Laboratory Technician will be responsible for conducting on-line analytical tests, such as Brix, pH, and fruit ID, as well as lab tests, such as water activity and 24 hour analysis. They will also maintain current records of finished product analysis, calibration of test equipment, and record results in a calibration log book.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively with the Quality Assurance and Production teams. They will also be responsible for notifying Production Supervisor and QA Supervisor of line deviations and placing product on hold as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct timely and accurate analysis of finished products through internal chemical and physical testing.
  • Maintain current records of finished product analysis and calibration of test equipment.
  • Notify Production Supervisor and QA Supervisor of line deviations and place product on hold as necessary.
  • Swab equipment and perform environmental microbiological tests.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of experience in a laboratory setting.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday (6am – 2pm)
