Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Technician to join our team at FIRST QUALITY PRODUCTS OF PA INC. As a Quality Technician, you will be responsible for performing confirmatory and special laboratory testing of products, providing analytical support for quality assurance functions, and maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of the laboratory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform quality testing requirements and maintain the laboratory in a clean and organized state.
  • Follow existing procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Enter test results into the quality data system and report results to relevant parties in a timely manner.
  • Assist in preparing and providing materials, chemicals, equipment, and documents needed for quality functions.
  • Perform special testing for product development, validation, and product investigations.
  • Verify lab equipment and data within the quality data system.
  • Observe all safety rules and use proper safety equipment.

Requirements:

  • Familiarity with a formal Quality System (ISO 9000, GMP/QSR, etc.) is preferred.
  • Standard knowledge of computers and basic office software is required.
  • Math skills, including algebra, are required, and statistics knowledge is a plus.
  • Attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, good verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment is required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Work Environment:

The Quality Technician will work in an environment with the potential for exposure to dust during certain tasks.

Physical Requirements:

  • Occasional sitting during 12-hour shifts.
  • Frequent standing, walking, and bending over throughout shifts.
  • Frequent pushing with arms and legs throughout shifts.
  • Frequent lifting or carrying of items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Constant use of hands during shifts.
  • Frequent light and strong grasping during shifts.
