Job Summary:
To excel as a Meat Cutter at Redner's, you will be responsible for cutting and trimming meat and related products in a variety of sizes, qualities, and trims as directed by company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cut and trim all merchandise as directed by company standards.
- Price and display product in cases as directed by the Meat Manager or Meat Supervisor.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work, display, and storage areas.
- Communicate temperature failures of cases and storage areas to the manager in charge.
- Provide excellent customer service by offering prompt and courteous service at all times.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal health weights and measures laws.
- Comply with all company policies stated in the Employee Handbook.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Assist in wrapping and packaging of product when needed.
- Receive, weigh, and break down meats and related products.
- Maintain operating equipment and follow OSHA regulations.
Requirements:
- Ability to read and write to properly tag product.
- Dexterity in hands to enable the cutting and trimming of meats.
- Ability to lift up to seventy pounds at least forty percent of the time.
- At least one year of experience as a meat wrapper.
