Job Title: Nurse Manager - Oncology

Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Manager to oversee the delivery of nursing care in our Oncology department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality patient care, operational efficiency, and compliance with hospital and regulatory policies.

Responsibilities:
  • Clinical Practice:
    • Perform comprehensive assessments of patients to determine appropriateness for radiation therapy
    • Administer medications and perform ancillary procedures as needed
    • Provide education to patients and family members on radiation therapy and related topics
    • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters
  • Resource Management:
    • Develop and implement staffing plans to ensure adequate nursing coverage
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care and unit operations
    • Lead time-off and vacation requests, as well as payroll and scheduling processes
  • Leadership:
    • Promote effective communication and collaboration among nursing staff and other departments
    • Attend disease center clinical collaboratives to stay up-to-date on best practices and standards of care
    • Interpret and communicate changes in hospital and departmental policies and procedures

Requirements:
  • Current licensure: Registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of radiation or ambulatory nursing experience, with demonstrated clinical competence and professional accountability
