About the Role:
This is a safety-sensitive position that will assist and work with the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager to perform the necessary repairs and preventive maintenance throughout the entire property. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the residential apartment homes, public space, outside grounds, and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Property Appearance/Upkeep: Ensure the property is kept in a neat, clean, and well-maintained condition through daily exterior and interior inspections.
- Appliance Maintenance: Troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct minor failures to air conditioning and heating units, as well as repair minor electrical and plumbing problems.
- Make Ready: Bring units up to market-ready condition in accordance with company standards, which may include painting.
- Laundry Room Maintenance: Maintain laundry rooms to company guidelines.
- Poll Maintenance (if applicable): Complete daily chemical inspections, maintenance, and cleaning to meet city codes and company standards.
- Customer Service: Ensure the property meets and exceeds company standards for resident satisfaction and be available for on-call emergencies.
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or GED required. Pool certification preferred; prefer HVAC certification, boiler certification if appropriate.
- Experience: One year of maintenance experience in residential property management.
- Physical & Cognitive: Frequent standing and walking, as well as occasional sitting. Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 110 pounds. Occasional squatting, reaching, stooping, climbing stairs/ladders, and balancing.
- Driver Requirements (if applicable): Valid driver's license, acceptable motor vehicle record, reliable means of transportation, and ability to be insurable at standard rates for driving.
