Part-time Lead Waste Management Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to fill the role of Part-time Lead Trash Collector. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the total service delivery for our apartment communities, providing direction and oversight to part-time associates, and ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional service to our residents, setting the standard for quality and excellence.
- Assist in training and developing part-time associates to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
- Conduct regular spot checks to ensure safety, quality control, and productivity standards are met.
- Collect and process missed trash, identifying and addressing any issues or concerns.
- Communicate effectively with the Area Leader and other team members to ensure seamless operations.
- Provide waste and recycling collection coverage for understaffed properties, ensuring our residents receive the best possible service.
- Document and report any property or resident non-compliance, taking proactive steps to resolve issues.
- Assist with evening recruiting efforts, including referral generation and flyer distribution.
- Provide candidates with a realistic job preview, highlighting the opportunities and challenges of the role.
- Assist with presentations during team meetings, sharing knowledge and best practices.
- Work closely with the Area Leader to coordinate work schedules, evaluate job performance, and motivate part-time associates.
- Provide leadership and guidance to part-time associates, promoting a culture of safety and excellence.
Requirements:
- Minimum age requirement: 18 years old.
- Valid driver's license and current auto insurance.
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle and drive locally to other properties as needed.
- Capable of adapting to work both indoors and outdoors, regardless of changing weather conditions.
- Ability to lift and transport items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Able to walk the distance of property, and be exposed to disagreeable odors.
- Capability to climb up and down staircases/steps multiple times throughout the evening.
- Ownership of a smartphone with a data plan to utilize our mobile app.
- Flexibility to work split schedule and/or be on call during irregular hours depending on business needs.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent. AA degree preferred.
- Preferred experience in customer service and prior people management.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
