Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team at Alene Candles LLC & Midwest. As a Material Handler, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production and warehouse processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Material Handling: Organize and transport production and support materials and equipment within the assigned area, utilizing manual and powered material handling equipment and packaging equipment.
  • Inventory Management: Locate, pick, move, and store materials and equipment according to established procedures, both written and verbal.
  • Receiving and Storing: Unload and store materials in proper locations and perform receiving transactions.
  • Documentation and Records: Maintain proper documentation and records using various paper forms and computer systems.
  • Transportation: Operate company box truck between company buildings.
  • Safety and Compliance: Follow and comply with all safety rules and regulations, maintain individual work area/equipment in a neat, orderly manner, and detect and report improper operations, faulty equipment/tooling, defective materials, and unusual conditions to supervisor.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or general education diploma (GED)
  • Experience: 1-4 years related experience and valid driver's license
  • Skills: Experience using scan gun, inventory control experience, and experience loading and unloading 53' box truck
  • Language: Good comprehension of English language both orally and written
Preferred Qualifications
  • Understanding of BIN transfers
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to problem solve quickly and in the moment
