The ideal candidate will undertake responsibilities such as battery replacements, tire rotations and repairs, thorough cleaning of vehicle interiors and exteriors, and providing assistance during significant overhaul projects. This role also includes field-level maintenance on U.S. Military automotive equipment, ensuring adherence to technical specifications and repair timelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct minor repairs and services on motor vehicles.
  • Apply and maintain decals on vehicles.
  • Inspect and replace batteries as necessary.
  • Rotate, repair, and replace tires efficiently.
  • Thoroughly wash, polish, and clean vehicle interiors and exteriors.
  • Drain, flush, and replace engine, transmission, and differential lubricants.
  • Check, clean, calibrate, and replace spark plugs.
  • Maintain and replace oil and air filters.
  • Adjust braking systems as required.
  • Replace windshield wipers and other minor components.
  • Assist in major overhaul tasks by disassembling and cleaning parts.
  • Repair components including generators and water pumps.
  • Replace thermostats, electrical wiring, and other essential items.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and ensure cleanliness of work areas.
  • Utilize personal and government-furnished tools for preventative maintenance and general repairs on automotive tactical and combat equipment.
  • Perform field-level maintenance on U.S. Military automotive equipment, including inspections, parts identification, requisitioning, servicing, and repairs.
  • Keep accurate maintenance records and documentation in compliance with regulations.
  • Handle hazardous materials and waste generated during maintenance tasks responsibly.
  • Adhere to federal, state, and local regulations regarding hazardous materials handling and disposal.
  • Manage the movement of materials and assets using forklifts and dollies.
  • Be prepared to deploy for equipment issuing or receipt upon government notification.
  • Wear personal protective equipment as mandated.
Required Qualifications/Skills:
  • U.S. Citizen with a valid U.S. Passport.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).
  • Secure and maintain local base access.
  • A minimum of 4 years of directly related work experience.
  • Certification from a vocational school or related field.
  • Completion of a basic automotive maintenance training course.
  • Ability to interpret and apply technical instructions, schematics, and diagrams.
  • Possession of personal tools that meet the required tool list.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand for 2 to 3 hours daily.
  • Ability to walk for 4 to 5 hours daily.
  • Ability to lift weights ranging from 35 lbs. to 50 lbs. periodically.
  • Ability to squat, kneel, bend, reach, and climb as needed.
  • Ability to work in both outdoor and indoor non-climate-controlled environments.
