This is a key position in the accounting department responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting and analysis. Key Responsibilities- Perform monthly financial close functions, including compiling and analyzing financial information to prepare entries.
- File sales and use tax and other local taxes with necessary government institutions.
- Oversee the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
- Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliation.
- Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.
- Assist with preparing PBC list for year-end audits.
- Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested.
- Manage the accounting staff responsible for financial reporting, billing, collections, payroll, and budget preparation.
- Recruit and hire accounting and financial staff and conduct performance evaluations.
- Coordinate training programs for new staff and identify training needs for current staff.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in taxation and accounting, with experience in financial statement preparation, account reconciliations, and budgeting. A bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is required, and a CPA certification is preferred.
