Job Summary:

As a Venous Access RN at AdventHealth, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the highest level of quality and safety in vascular access services. This position requires a registered professional nurse with expertise in venous access procedures and a strong commitment to delivering compassionate and personalized care to patients of all ages.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform venous access procedures, including insertion and maintenance of central and peripheral lines, and provide education to patients and families on proper care and management of these devices.
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized plans of care to ensure optimal outcomes and minimize complications.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure seamless transitions between departments.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to vascular access services.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to staff nurses and other healthcare professionals on venous access procedures and best practices.
Requirements:
  • Current valid State of Florida or multistate license as a Registered Nurse.
  • PICC Validation, Port Validation, Peripheral Intravenous Access Validation, and Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
  • Advanced Life Support Certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP) per specialty/unit requirements.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a vascular access setting, preferably in a hospital or clinical setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
  • VA-BC (Venous Access-Board Certified) or CRNI (Certified Registered Nurse Infusion) certification.
  • EKG certification.
