Armstrong Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, leadership skills, and a passion for providing compassionate care.
Key Responsibilities- Nursing Department Oversight: Direct, oversee, and evaluate all nursing personnel (RNs, LPNs, CNAs, etc.) to ensure the delivery of high-quality care to our residents.
- Staffing and Scheduling: Guide staffing procedures and set objectives and long-term goals for the nursing department.
- Admission and Patient Care: Organize and coordinate admission, nursing, and patient care procedures to ensure seamless transitions and optimal resident outcomes.
- Policies and Procedures: Develop and enforce policies aiming for legal compliance and high-quality standards, including budgeting and financial reporting.
- Record-Keeping and Reporting: Manage record-keeping procedures and collaborate with other departments and professionals to streamline operations.
- Leadership and Communication: Lead and develop personnel, resolve issues and deficiencies, and report to upper management.
- Experience and Education: Proven experience as Director of Nursing (DON) and a degree in nursing; Master's degree in nursing or healthcare administration is a plus.
- Certifications and Skills: Valid nursing and CPR certification, excellent leadership and communication skills, and a strong understanding of hospital procedures and KPI/KQIs of patient care.
- Personal Qualities: Willingness to keep abreast of changing standards in nursing administration, excellent organizational and stress management skills, and a passion for providing compassionate care.
