As a Registered Nurse, you will engage in the nursing process to deliver direct patient care to designated individuals. You will provide clinical guidance to fellow staff members and act as a role model to foster a positive workplace atmosphere and ensure high-quality patient care. It is essential to comply with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Your patient care responsibilities may encompass neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.

PATIENT SAFETY: Adhere to policies, procedures, and protocols related to patient safety.

  • PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT: Advance your professional growth by participating in educational programs, reviewing current literature, and attending workshops and meetings.
  • PATIENT SAFETY: Take a proactive stance on patient safety by identifying opportunities to enhance safety through critical evaluation of existing policies and practices.
  • PATIENT SAFETY: Recognize and report any environmental conditions or situations that may pose a risk to patient safety.
  • POLICIES: Operate within the framework of hospital, nursing division, and departmental policies.
  • CARE PLAN: Collaborate with the healthcare team to implement and document personalized care plans that consider age-specific needs, including discharge planning and patient/family education.
* Document and communicate clinical observations

  • PATIENT CARE: Provide safe, direct care to an assigned group of patients as necessary.
  • MEDICAL RECORDS: Ensure that patient medical records are complete and accurate.
  • INQUIRIES: Manage telephone communications and triage calls in accordance with departmental policy.
* Upon successful completion of preceptor training, take on the responsibilities of mentoring and evaluating new staff members.

  • PATIENT SAFETY: Timely report any potential or actual patient safety issues, medical errors, or near misses.
  • PATIENT SAFETY: Encourage patients to engage actively in their care by asking questions and reporting any concerns regarding their treatment.
Qualifications:
Program Graduate
Bachelor's Degree
Nationally Accredited Nursing Graduate
Nursing

Bilingual proficiency in English/Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo
CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuers within 30 days

  • Chemicals and Biohazardous Materials require appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
