Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Optimization Specialist to join our team at Axcelis Technologies. In this role, you will be responsible for determining operational parameters for our tools, identifying areas requiring additional data and characterization, and generating formal characterization plans.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Operational Parameter Determination: Determine parametric operational space for equipment as defined by technical need, customer requirements, and marketing input.
  2. Tool Characterization: Identify areas requiring additional data, characterization, and documentation, and initiate plans to provide that information.
  3. Equipment Demonstration: Work with Systems Engineers and Equipment Technologists to perform customer-related tool demonstrations, reviewing initial requests for technical content and requirements, determining feasibility, and reviewing requirements with the customer as required.
  4. Operational Performance Analysis: Continuously monitor new hardware and procedures introduced on tool sets, assist in definition, characterization, and documentation as required.
  5. Process Development: Identify new applications for tools, initiate plans and joint development programs with customers to determine tool performance for these applications, and help communicate and coordinate efforts within engineering for required tool upgrades.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of tool performance, operational parameters, and characterization plans. You will also need to be able to interact with customers, marketing, and engineering teams to meet operating specifications and provide competitive differentiating data.
