Job Summary
Columbus McKinnon is seeking a skilled Assembly Operations Specialist to support various departments within our organization. This role operates on a Monday to Friday schedule from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, covering vacant positions, leaves, or business spikes. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe working environment by adhering to proper safety protocols, utilizing established processes and procedures, and participating in daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Efficiently utilize established processes and procedures for effective cycle counting.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to proper safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Participate in daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance tasks for machines and equipment.
  • Engage in continuous learning and skill acquisition through our skills matrix program.
  • Prioritize flexibility and adaptability to meet changing job demands and requirements.

Requirements:
  • A team-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills and a strong ability to work collaboratively.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and solid blueprint reading abilities.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguous problems and adjust priorities as needed.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality are essential.

Qualifications:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Certification in sit-down forklift, Raymond, and overhead crane operations is desired, but training will be provided for the right candidate.
  • The ability to safely lift, lower, push, or pull up to 40 lbs is necessary.

Compensation:
$20-$25 per hour, based on experience.
