Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician II to join our Facilities Management team at Catholic Medical Center. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment, systems, and spaces throughout our hospital-owned and operated properties.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Perform preventative, corrective, and emergent maintenance procedures on building mechanical/plumbing equipment, including inspecting and replacing belts, checking fluid levels, and clearing clogged drains.
  2. Perform maintenance procedures on building lighting and alarm systems equipment, including disposing of used lamps and ballasts and responding to system alarms.
  3. Perform maintenance procedures on the built environment, including replacing broken/damaged screens, blinds, and ceiling tiles, and installing/hanging pictures, shelves, and signs.
  4. Adhere to all safety and security programs and policies, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Joint Commission compliance Standards.
  5. Monitor and respond to weather conditions to ensure entrance ways are cleaned of debris and/or salted during after-hour operations.
  6. Provide maintenance coverage for after-hour maintenance calls through the Call Back Rotation schedule.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Post-secondary school or vocational training preferred.
  • Two to four years' experience in plant operations and/or building maintenance in a healthcare environment.
