Job Summary:

We're looking for a detail-oriented and physically fit individual to work as a Hospital Housekeeper at Dupont Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN. As a Hospital Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff. This includes cleaning and polishing lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim, as well as sweeping and vacuuming floors, dusting furniture and equipment, and polishing metalwork.

Responsibilities:
  • Clean and maintain patient rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas
  • Sweep and/or vacuum floors, dust furniture and equipment, and polish metalwork
  • Wash walls, ceiling, and woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills
  • Empties wastebaskets and transports trash and waste to the disposal area
  • Replenishes bathroom supplies and transports small equipment or tools between departments
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent required
  • Experience in the janitorial industry a plus
  • Medical cleaning a plus
  • Post-Offer Medical, Background Screening, and Drug Test required
