Position Summary

This role comes with a $5,000 Sign-On Bonus. As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will collaborate across various departments within our facility, playing a crucial role in enhancing operational efficiency through the maintenance of our equipment. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring safety and reliability through proactive problem-solving and maintenance practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver maintenance support to guarantee the safe and efficient operation of equipment with minimal supervision.
  • Conduct routine preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Execute emergency mechanical or electrical repairs as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Utilize your knowledge and troubleshooting skills effectively on all assigned production equipment.
  • Engage with plant personnel to achieve both plant and individual objectives.
  • Reduce downtime caused by equipment malfunctions.
  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, and maintenance manuals accurately.
  • Work with pumps, hydraulic systems, and welding equipment.
  • Exhibit a foundational understanding of electrical theory, system wiring, and installation practices.
Qualifications

Education: A minimum of one year of maintenance experience is preferred, such as an industrial maintenance diploma or current enrollment in a technical program. An electrician or journeyman license is also preferred.

Experience: At least one year of industrial maintenance experience or equivalent; familiarity with hydraulics, welding, and compressed air systems is required.

Computer Skills: Basic computer proficiency is necessary for logging information, processing work orders, and completing documentation. The ability to learn and utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is essential.

Communication Skills: Effective communication abilities and basic math skills are necessary to perform this role satisfactorily.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 lbs occasionally; frequently lift 20 lbs.
  • Capability to stand on hard surfaces for up to 12 hours daily.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights, including climbing and using ladders.
  • Frequent overhead work and repetitive gripping, pushing, and pulling.
  • Work conditions may vary from extreme cold to high heat; outdoor work may also be required.
  • Basic math skills, including percentages, fractions, and measurements.
Work Schedule

This position involves a rotating shift schedule, with shifts from 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM. The schedule includes 3 days on, 3 days off, followed by 2 days on and 2 days off. Some weekend work may be necessary.

Compensation

The hourly wage for this position ranges from $22.00 to $30.00.
