Job Summary:

Nutritionist I provides expert nutritional guidance and services to patients, families, and community groups at UTMB Health. This role is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive nutritional programs, collaborating with healthcare teams, and educating patients on healthy eating habits and nutrition principles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement nutritional plans and programs for patients and community groups.

• Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive care and services.

• Educate patients and families on healthy eating habits, nutrition principles, and food selection.

• Provide consultation services to community groups and organizations.

• Maintain accurate records of patient counseling and program evaluations.

• Adhere to internal controls and departmental policies.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., nutrition, dietetics, public health).

• No experience required, but a strong understanding of nutrition principles and practices is essential.

• Spanish speaking is preferred, but not required.

Work Schedule:

Nights and weekends may be required. Must be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet client needs. Position requires travel for training and coverage; must be willing to travel.
