The Salvation Army's Adult Rehabilitation Centers play a vital role in transforming lives. Our in-residence rehabilitation program emphasizes fundamental needs, ensuring every participant enjoys a clean and healthy living space, nutritious meals, work therapy, recreational activities, group and individual counseling, and spiritual guidance. Role Summary

The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center is in search of a Counselor to facilitate counseling sessions and collaborate effectively with Program Staff to create a compassionate and respectful environment for those in need of assistance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct biweekly scheduled appointments with a caseload of individuals and provide crisis counseling as required.
  • Lead weekly counseling, educational, and/or Bible/prayer groups.
  • Document and submit statistical data as necessary.
  • Assist with intake processes as needed.
  • Administer compliance screenings for prohibited substances.
  • Participate in staff meetings, retreats, conferences, and other organizational events as assigned.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess an Associate's degree in counseling or a related discipline, have a solid understanding of issues such as substance abuse, homelessness, and displacement, and demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills. Flexibility in work schedule is essential, including availability for evenings and occasional weekends.

Compensation

Minimum: USD $19.50/Hr. | Maximum: USD $20.00/Hr.
