Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Behavioral Health Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in supporting patients with mental health disorders, developmental disabilities, and substance abuse.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Care: Assist with daily living activities, medication management, and monitor patient behavior and well-being.
  • Behavioral Support: Implement individual treatment plans, help patients develop coping skills, and facilitate group therapy and workshops.
  • Crisis Intervention: Respond to crises, ensuring patient safety and de-escalating situations.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate, confidential records of patient interactions and treatment progress.
  • Collaboration: Work with healthcare professionals on treatment planning and attend team meetings.
Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma required; associate's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Experience: Prior experience in behavioral health is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong communication, teamwork, crisis intervention, empathy, and documentation skills.
  • Certifications: CPR/First Aid certification required; additional certifications like CBHT are a plus.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and occasionally lift.
Working Conditions:

This role may require working in clinical, residential, or community settings with potential exposure to challenging behaviors. Flexible scheduling, including weekends and holidays, may be required.

The estimated salary for this position is $17.00 to $25.50 per hour, based on education, experience, and shift. We offer full-time, part-time, and PRN positions, as well as various shift differentials for weekend and overnight work.
