Job Title: Technical Support Agent

Matanuska Telephone Association is seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Agent to join our team. As a Technical Support Agent, you will be the primary point of contact for customers, providing technical support and assistance with a wide range of issues related to our products and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support and assistance to customers via phone, email, and chat
  • Analyze and troubleshoot customer issues, identifying and resolving problems in a timely and effective manner
  • Document and communicate customer issues and resolutions to internal teams and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex customer issues and improve overall customer experience
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies, and apply this knowledge to improve customer support and services
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; IT degree or certification preferred
  • Minimum six months of experience in a support center environment; past system administration experience a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex customer issues
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to communicate technical information to customers in a clear and concise manner
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities
Preferred Qualifications:
  • MTA Helpdesk, ITF, A+, Net+, MCP, MCSE, or CCNA certification
  • Experience with network LAN, WAN, and Wi-Fi technologies
  • Knowledge of DNS, POP3, IMAP, and SMTP protocols
  • Ability to obtain MTA and ITF certification within 90 days of hire
