About the Role

Mountain Community Health is seeking an experienced and skilled Chief Financial Officer to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, the CFO will play a critical role in driving the financial health and success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and direct all financial functions, including budgeting, audit, tax, accounting, purchasing, revenue cycle, and long-range forecasting.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to maximize returns on financial assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide timely and accurate financial reports, statements, and decision-support information to the CEO, Board of Directors, and management team.
  • Manage cash and investment assets, maximizing returns while minimizing risk.
  • Oversee recruitment, selection, onboarding, and ongoing management and training of financial personnel.
  • Direct the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, tax returns, and governmental agency reports.
  • Ensure financial integrity and transparency, upholding high standards and promoting a culture of excellence.
Requirements
  • Minimum 7 years of progressive financial management experience, with at least 4 years in senior financial leadership roles.
  • Experience managing staff in areas of payroll, A/P, general ledger entry, grant vouchering, and purchasing.
  • Minimum bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. CPA or master's degree in business administration or finance preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience working within the healthcare industry or Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) environment.
  • Strong utilization and understanding of accounting software, preferably QuickBooks.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement financial strategies and manage financial operations.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of integrity and ethical standards.
