We are seeking a skilled Clinical Referral Specialist to join our Intake team at Amerita, Inc. As a core member of the team, you will be responsible for the timely clearance of new referrals.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of insurance verification and pre-certification procedures, as well as experience working with all payer types, including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance companies.

Responsibilities will include processing referrals, ensuring required documentation is received, and entering patient demographic, insurance, and authorization information into the computer system.

The Clinical Referral Specialist will also be responsible for obtaining authorizations and re-authorizations as required by payers, documenting this in the computer system, and ensuring insurance verification is completed prior to giving the referral to a pharmacist.

Additionally, the successful candidate will communicate with other departments regarding the status of referrals and any authorization requirements, and maintain confidentiality of patient and proprietary information.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma/GED or equivalent, a minimum of two years of experience collecting referral information in the healthcare market, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
